Our goal is to promote infill within existing urban areas and utilize sustainable building practices before expanding into rural lands. We support local manufacturing, food producers, and artisans and encourage transportation alternatives like walking, biking, and public transit.
Energy Intelligence
We are dedicated to energy intelligence and efficiency. We prioritize super-insulation, reduced infiltration, controlled ventilation, and the use of energy-efficient appliances and lighting. We also advocate for using local, low-embodied-energy materials and harnessing renewable energy sources like solar, wind, and biomass where appropriate.
Health
We build for a healthier life. This involves choosing materials that are safe for both the environment and the people who produce, install, and use them. We design with appropriate ventilation systems to ensure high-quality indoor air and focus on reducing noise. We optimize natural lighting through design and orientation. We also encourage human-powered activities, support organic farming, and strive to reduce financial burdens through our work.
Material
We champion resource intelligence. We believe in building smaller, adaptive reuse, when feasible, before new construction, and using durable, high-quality, and long-lasting materials. We use renewable, recycled, and resource-efficient materials and promote on-site recycling and easy disassembly for future reuse. Our designs also incorporate water-conserving appliances and plumbing, utilizing both greywater and rainwater harvesting systems.
Waste
We are committed to regenerative waste management. We work to reduce waste from our construction projects and repurpose materials from our practices. A key focus is on wastewater treatment to harvest nutrients and energy, contributing to a circular economy.
Water
At REGEN, we design for water abundance. We believe every drop has value beyond a single use, and every project is an opportunity to restore balance to the local water cycle. Our approach replaces inefficiency with precision. Rather than relying solely on large, centralized systems, we implement distributed infrastructure solutions that treat, reuse, and return water to natural systems near its point of origin. Through reuse, recovery, and regenerative concepts, we transform water from a linear liability into a circular asset. This is more than engineering; it is stewardship. By aligning infrastructure with natural systems, we help communities secure resilient, locally controlled water supplies while reducing dependence on imported and potable sources.
